Town CleanUp and Hazardous Waste Events April 25th

Yacolt Town Clean-Up Event Saturday, April 25th 9am-2pm (or until the dumpsters are full) at the Railroad Gravel Parking Lot

Prices: Small (car) load: $25;      Pickup load: $35;     Trailer load: $45     Household Hazardous Waste: Free (see below)

Vouchers may be purchased at Town Hall through April 24th Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.  On the day of the event, vouchers may be purchased at the Town Hall parking lot, starting at 8:30am.  On the day of the event, you must pay with cash or check; bank cards and cash apps will not be accepted.  

You must unload your own load!  

What We Can and Cannot Take:

 

Accepted types of Garbage Yard and bulky items, sinks, lamps, fixtures, old toys, patio furniture, tools and hardware, clothing, dishes

NOT Accepted – Household and food waste, commercial garbage, household hazardous waste (see below), batteries, ammunition or other explosives, bio waste/sharps

 

Accepted Metal Barbecues, pots/pans, scrap metal, water heaters, wheels, washers/dryers, stoves, metal sinks; items must be MOSTLY metal

Not Accepted – Refrigerators and freezers (items that use freon), propane tanks, car bodies, trailers, metals with grease

 

Tires Must NOT be mounted on rims!

 

Lumber and Woody DebrisClean wood, planks, boards, stumps, logs, tree branches, scrap lumber.  Must be cut into sections 4 ft. long or less. 

Not Accepted – Painted or stained/treated wood, wood with nails or other fasteners/hardware (these would go into the regular garbage drop box, not back with the Woody Debris), grass clippings, leaves

 

Please Note:  Household Hazardous Waste may be dropped off at Yacolt Primary School from 9 a.m. through 1 p.m. on the same day as our Town Clean-Up event.  They will take items such as paints and solvents, adhesives, anti-freeze, motor oils, gas and diesel, fluorescent tubes and ballasts, herbicides/pesticides, fertilizers, mercury items, batteries, fire extinguishers, pool chemicals, cleaners

They CANNOT take: Ammunition, asbestos, roofing, insulation, certain wiring and building materials, biological waste/sharps, commercial waste, containers over 5 gallons, EV batteries, explosives/flares, and smoke detectors
